The US Army Medic in France in WWII
February 18, 2024 @ 2:00 pm
Retired Army Colonel John Dwyer will present a live program highlighting the role that US Army Medics played in the Battle for France in 1944. He wears the uniform and equipment carried by Army medics who treated the wounded and sick in combat. He tells stories about his life, his pay, his food, training, and clothing. He shows what he is carrying and explains his gear, weapons, and belongings in detail and passes it around the audience so people can see and feel the actual equipment used by medical personnel. Questions are welcomed throughout the presentation.
For John Dwyer, time will have stopped in the Winter of 1945 in Europe for this program.
This event is FREE, but registration is required. This will be at the North Branch of the Hunterdon County Library in Clinton on Sunday February 18th at 2:00 PM.
